Rescue and Removal

Honeybee rescue and removal work varies greatly. It can be quick, easy, and affordable, but can also be lengthy, complicated, and expensive.

Location of the colony in a structure dictates a large portion of the costs associated with honeybee removals. Often times, they end up in eaves and roof lines, in walls, between floor joists, and it is necessary to open up the structure in order to safely remove the colony in its entirety.

Ladders, lifts, and scaffolding are needed to accomplish this, along with building materials for the repairs, which can add to the cost of the removal process. Exterminators usually will not get involved with the removal of honeybees. They generally stick to extermination, and in many places, exterminating honeybees isn’t allowed by law, so a beekeeper is needed to remove them.
